One System, Four Phases

A growing condominium community on the outskirts of Debrecen was developed in four phases over nearly a decade, and every phase had arrived with its own intercom hardware, its own access cards, and its own installer.

By the time the fourth block was completed, the property manager was juggling three unrelated access systems that didn't talk to each other, a drawer full of unlabeled spare fobs nobody could account for, and a maintenance contract that changed hands every time a technician moved on. Residents complained that visitors buzzed the wrong block, that lost fobs took weeks to replace, and that nobody could say with confidence who still had access to the building after all these years. The board decided they needed one accountable system covering all four blocks — without tearing out everything that already worked. They were referred to AION Networks.

AION surveyed all four blocks, documented every existing device, and designed a single access control and video system that unified the property under one platform, one login for the board, and one number to call. Legacy hardware that was still sound was kept and integrated; anything unreliable was replaced. Cabling and network infrastructure were brought up to a shared standard so future blocks could be added without starting over.

The board was relieved to finally have one system, one report, and one partner who understood the whole property instead of just one phase of it. AION continues to operate the system today, managing access changes as residents move in and out, and remains the community's single point of contact for anything technical across all four blocks.
