Three Vendors, No One Accountable

A condominium board in Pécs had spent six years accumulating a security setup nobody could fully explain: cameras from one installer, access control from a second, and an intercom system from a third, each contracted separately as problems came up over the years.

When the intercom started dropping calls during exactly the hours residents needed it most, the board called all three vendors and got three different answers. The camera company blamed the network, the access control installer said it wasn't their equipment, and the intercom technician insisted the wiring was fine on his end. Weeks passed with residents unable to reliably let in visitors or deliveries, and the board realized that having three specialists meant having zero accountability. No single company would take responsibility for a system that, in the residents' daily experience, was simply "the building's entry system." They asked AION Networks to take a proper look.

AION audited all three systems end to end, mapped how the disconnected hardware and networking had been quietly causing the same intercom fault the other vendors had each denied, and proposed consolidating everything onto one platform under a single service contract. The transition was phased over several weeks so no resident lost access at any point, and legacy equipment that was still reliable was kept rather than replaced for its own sake.

The board now has exactly one number to call regardless of what goes wrong, and has stopped receiving three contradictory explanations for a single problem. AION operates the consolidated system today under one ongoing agreement covering cameras, access, and intercom together.
